US Air cargo warehouse costs

Jones Lang LaSalle’s third annual Port, Airport and Global Infrastructure (PAGI) report has found that it is getting more expensive to secure warehousing space around major US airports reports Patrick Burnson, Executive Editor, Supply Chain Management Review.

This year’s PAGI includes for the first time and an index of airport real estate prices. The index compares the US’s top 12 airports against a range of criteria to give an indication of real estate performance in the surrounding area. Ironically, the airports that failed to invest in infrastructure during the boom are now being rewarded with higher warehousing rates whilst those that did suffer from over capacity. Even these, albeit slowly, are recovering.
